Greuther Fürth is a mid-size football club founded in 1903. My work for Greuther Fürth included many 10-second motion graphics animations for display on the jumbo screen of their local sports arena. For example, flashy text animations with voiceover narration to promote local sponsors such as Audi and Volkswagen dealerships.

This is Eddy. He’s a mascot for the football club SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The idea of producing a series of animated shorts in a kid-friendly style was presented to me, so I got to work on modeling the 3D character based on existing designs, rigging his bone structure so that he can be animated, providing furry skin and dynamically simulated jersey. The original plan was to create a stylized football field where Eddy could be animated practicing his ball handling drills. Unfortunately the project was canceled before I could get to that point, but I still like the way Eddy turned out and was looking forward to animating his character.
